Things I need to tell you

I've started my blogging from november of 2007 and now it's april of
2008. Not a huge gap of time, this blog has recieved great amount of
visitors and ranked highly among various rating system. But as you
know, I am an undergraduate student, it's very hard to keep up with
this work. Because, blogging needs working on a topic. So, posts may
be delayed some time. I request all my visitors to get update via
their email. By this time, I'm experimenting various mobilizing sites
to mobilize this site. I will announce that soon.

One ID, One World

Those of us who use the web frequently often get clustered signing up
for various web services. But it's too difficult to manage all those
passwords and IDs. As the expansion of the web increases, the security
is going harder. That's why the concept of OpenID came out. By using
openid you can login to multiple sites using a single id and password.
Yahoo has taken the first step to join the revolution. If you've an
yahoo id then just point your browser to openid.yahoo.com, then
signin, pass the verification and you're on. Now, you can just type
your openid as yahoo.com in any openid enabled site and then you can
use your yahoo id to login to that site. I think it's time to join the
simplicity.

How to Dual-boot ubuntu and xp (with xp installed first)

Though, I ain't a linux user but as I've ubuntu cd in my cd
collection, I thought lets check it out. Guess what? I'm loving it.
Though, it's unable to run any windows application but it has a mind
blowing interface far better than windows. In these how to, I will
explain the installation process.

You must have:
1. Ubuntu cd/dvd
2. partition magic(costly)/partition logic(free, light)
3. A computer with at least 320MB ram
4. Electricity to run the computer
5. Monitor for visual
6. cd drive

ok enough. Coming to the main point. At first you've to create a
partition for ubuntu. Because, linux doesn't support fat32 and ntfs
file system. I'd recommend partition magic for this procedure. Grab
some 4gb space and create a new partition on ext2 file format. You can
also create a swap partition in this way.

If done, we can move to next. Enter the cd of ubuntu and restart your
computer. The cd will boot and then select start/install ubuntu. When
ubuntu loaded, click the install icon. Then
proceed through steps and in the partition step select manual. Then
select manual partition and then select your created partition.
Remember to change the drive to "\". Now let ubuntu do the rest of the
work.

My blogging experience

In this post, I'll share the difficulties of email blogging. I have a
mobile of Siemens ( Model AX75 ). It's configuration is too low ( MIDP
1, CLDC 1 ). As a result highly configured java apps don't run on
this. I've to rely on mobile email. Thanks goes to blogger for there
go mobile service. It's easy to setup. Just send an email to
go@blogger.com from the email you'll use to blog. Then you'll recieve
a ticket in a mail from blogger. Go to go.blogger.com and enter the
ticket. Now you're set to go. But you can't create labels, hyperlink
from this service. Hope, blogger will fix this soon.

Forum hosting update

I've recently reviewed free forum hosting freeforums.org which is now showing ads on their users forum. Who wants to show others ads in their forum? Nobody. So I've searched for a better replacement of this. Fortunately, I've found one that is far good from the last one. It's forumotion.com. It has so many features that you can't expect. Signing up is so easy. You'll get free chat box with portal, gallery with calendar, personalized domain name with lots of free subdomain, customized email, free image hosting, awesome security, free automatic updates, hundreds of free templates and lots more to check out. It's time to forget the old and try the new.
